The concept of "following" (*taba‘iyyat*) is a fundamental pillar of the Quranic system of guidance and misguidance. This research aims to analyze the semantic structure, examine core components, and map the conceptual network of the semantic field of "following" in the Holy Quran. Employing a descriptive-analytical method and a structuralist semantics approach, the study investigates syntagmatic, paradigmatic, and structural contrastive relationships across nine key roots—*ṭaw‘*, *qudw*, *taba‘*, *talw*, *shī‘*, *‘aqb*, *qaṣṣ*, *qafw*, and *laḥq*—grounded in the context of the verses and authentic exegetical and narrative evidence. The findings reveal that the semantic field of "following" in the Quran is neither random nor merely a collection of synonyms; rather, it is organized into a five-level hierarchical model: 1) the foundational and volitional-value level (*ṭaw‘*, *qudw*); 2) the process-oriented and kinetic level (*taba‘*, *talw*, *‘aqb*); 3) the institutional and identity-forming level (*shī‘*); 4) the historical-extension and representational level (*qaṣṣ*, *qafw*); and 5) the teleological and transformative level (*laḥq*). Through this structured field, the Quran presents a comprehensive system of "following" across the realms of human relationships with God, prophets, society, history, and the order of creation. The analysis demonstrates that, within the discourse of Revelation, "following" is a conscious, staged, and evolutionary process that begins with submission of the heart and culminates in existential union with the righteous.
