The word "Ghani" is one of the most frequent words in the Holy Quran. The adjective "Ghani" is based on the weight of the verb in the sense of the subject of the substance "rich" which indicates sufficiency; So the richness of God Subhan means his absolute needlessness. Discovering the semantic components of the word "Ghani" and the connection of this word with accompanying words or words that are in semantic contrast with it, helps us to understand the meaning of the Qur'an and to know God better. The present article tries to explain the position of the word "Ghani", which after etymology, its semantic relationship with the words "companion" and "substitute" in the Qur'an has been investigated. The research method is descriptive-analytical and using library resources. The results of this research show that the word "Ghani" is associated with words such as "Halim, Hamid, Kareem, Rahma and Shukar", that the word "Hamid" has a higher frequency than other cognates, and the words "Samad" and "Vase" with the word "Ghani" have a substitution relationship. Also, the words "poverty, avarice and disbelief" have opposite meanings to the word "rich"; Also, by examining the word "Ghani", we found that this word is often used about God Almighty, but this word and its derivatives are also used in several cases about humans.
