Future research examines how to think about the best possible future and plan for the realization of the most realistic and scientific possibility in various fields that will happen to mankind, by calculating the percentage of certainty. Therefore, considering the importance of futurism as an emerging interdisciplinary science and the limitations governing the future that has not yet come, from the perspective of the West and Islam and relying on Nahj al-Balagheh, it is necessary to have full knowledge of both issues so that the richness of futurism is The point of view of Islam should be clarified. This article aims to show that if the possibility of universal causality (which is a metaphysical and ontological issue) exists in the universe and we know all the laws of nature and the initial conditions, then we can predict the future with certainty. predict (which is an epistemological problem); But because humans are firstly free, secondly, they are surrounded by the world of possibilities, and thirdly, they are not aware of all the secrets of the infinite world and the causes of all events, and they have limited knowledge. Therefore, in predicting the future, they cannot be proven and 100% certain, unless it is communicated to humanity through divine revelation and the chosen ones (according to partial causation). Otherwise, predictions will be associated with uncertainty; But this does not mean forced acceptance of the future and deprivation of human agency.
