Abstract

One of the effective methods in understanding the teachings of the Holy Quran is the careful analysis of words and their semantic distinctions. The present article, using a descriptive-analytical method and collecting information in a library manner, has examined the semantic distinctions of words related to the concept of speed in the Holy Quran. At this stage, by placing the word "speed" at the focal point of this area, some words that have the most common components with this word in the Quran have been introduced and compared with each other. Words such as: صبغ, إهراع, افضاح, إیفاض, بدار, زفّ, جعله, نَسل, إیهتاع, and فور. The results of the research indicate that the word "sabqat" is a rush to overtake others in competition. "Ahra'" is a rush with anxiety and psychological pressure. "إیفاض" is pushing with speed, but without anxiety. "إیفاض" is a fast movement and doing something with haste and haste. "بدار" is speed in movements and apparent actions. "Zaff" is the haste in moving with care and thought. "Hurry" is the act of doing something ahead of schedule. "Nasl" is the haste in leaving. "Ihta'" is the haste in doing something ahead of schedule with fear and worry. "Four" is the natural speed and acceleration without hesitation.
