Abstract
This paper reviews, analyzes and criticizes the views of seyyed Mahmoud Aloosi – the author of the exegesis Rooh al-maani- on Tathir verse of Holy Quran. Aloosi opposes many Shiite and sunni commentators in the interpreting the verse Tathir and denies that the verse was revealed for five persons named Kasa group (those five persons under the cloak while the verse Tathir was revealed by the angel Gabriel). He also believes that the verse embraces more than the five and it includes some of the wives of the Prophet. This essay based on the verses of the Holy Quran and some narratives of the descendants of the prophet (Ahle bait) and while considering the views of both Shiite and Sunni thinkers criticizes the views of Aloosi.
