Abstract
In this paper the author argues about the meaning of the word "jasad" (corpus) in the Quran with collocation method. To achieve this aim, the verses in which "jasad" has been occurred, are analyzed from collocation point of view and the most important factors which are in collocation with this word i.e. immortality, Egypt, Judaism and reign and super human are determined. Then the hypothesis of mummification and also the incarnation theory about the meaning of the word "Corpus" are proposed and with Quranic, historical and lexicological evidences are shown to be true. Accordingly the meaning of the verses in which the word is used are explained and it is shown that the Quran came to delete the idea of incarnation gradually.
