Abstract

In sermons 1, 91,177, and 211 of Nahj al-Balaghe there are different discussions in various phrases on mountains to guide people toward their unique creator. Geologists hold that mountains have been lasted for a long while and they have been subjected to evolution. In their view creation of the mountains at the surface of the earth was due to the processes as driving of the changeable edges of the continents or going out of the magma in various ways as volcano. The paper shows that the usage of the word "mountain" in Nahj al-Balaghe is near to what has been discovered in geology anf then it refers to heavenly origin of the sayings of Imam Ali (AS).
