Abstract
AbstractStress is a fundamental element of the phonological structure of speech, with "lexical stress" referring to the emphasis placed on a word in relation to the surrounding words in a sentence. As a key factor in distinguishing meaning and sound, lexical stress can play a crucial role in interpreting concepts accurately or in deriving multiple interpretations from Qur'anic expressions. This study focuses on the impact of stress on (Ma) within sentences, examining its varying degrees of strength and weakness, as well as the extent of phonetic stretching. It investigates how different Qur'anic concepts are revealed through pauses and intonation. this study, based on "lexical stress" rather than syllabic stress, revisits and reassesses past fragmented rules within the context of Qur'anic verses using a descriptive-analytical and comparative approach. Thus, the significance of lexical stress becomes clear when its semantic distinction is analyzed across various dual meanings of (Ma), such as negation and relative, negation and interrogative, negation and verbal, interrogative and exclamatory, interrogative and verbal, relative and interrogative, relative and conditional, and relative and verbal (Ma), each occurring within different intonation curves and primary and secondary phonetic blocks.
