This guidance includes awareness of unseen secrets and benefits of revelation. The usage of this word for some of the prophets and its assignment to them is as following: In Joseph story in “surah Yusuf” when his brothers say about their fathers Jacob (AS): “surely our father is in an evident astray” (8), and “By Allah! You are certainly in your old astray” (95), they are denying Jacob's knowledge of the unseen. Because in the first verse it is said that Joseph (AS) is selected by Allah and at the second it is said that he is alive after passing several years of his death. Mosses' astray in his own words: “I did it then, when I was one of the astray ones” (26/20) and Mohammad's astray (PBUH) in God's speech with him: “And also Allah found you one of the astray ones and he guided you” (93/7) refers to the time before of their prophecy.
